Rousing music, a special lighting concept and the energy of the group will drive you on during your workout. Our trainers will challenge you, spur you on and push you to achieve the impossible.

With Myzone-Switch, you measure your performance with every step. In addition, the performance of all participants is broadcast on several large screens during the workout. Discover BLAZE and get the most out of your workout.

With the Meridian Guarantee, you start your membership worry-free: if we have to close your Meridian Club again on official orders, your membership will be put on hold and no money will be collected until we are allowed to reopen the club.

BLAZE course

What is special about BLAZE?

BLAZE is a full body workout that combines cardiovascular training with strength, boxing and martial arts techniques to create a unique HIIT workout. Enjoy an intense workout using specialised equipment to help you improve your performance and achieve your goals.

The Myzone-Switch heart rate monitor worn throughout the class accurately records your heart rate and calorie burn. Track your progress in real time and motivate yourself with other class members for a more dynamic and intense training experience.

What can I expect from BLAZE?

At the beginning of the course, participants strap a Myzone-Switch heart rate monitor around their chest, which is connected to a large screen in the studio. The activity is divided into 'blue', 'green', 'yellow' and 'red' effort zones, with the red zone being the most strenuous.

The screens show the total time of the course and a timer for each interval and set. As each timer is linked to lighting, music and audio countdown instructions, both participants and trainers can fully immerse themselves in the workout.

The course is led by one of our highly qualified BLAZE trainers who will motivate you to do your best. The BLAZE course lasts 45 minutes, the BLAZE taster only 30 minutes.

What are the 3 training zones at BLAZE?

Participants move between these three zones:

Cardio: WOODWAY treadmills for optimal performance.

Strength: Dumbbells and fitness bags in different weights - individually for your personal fitness level.

Combat: High-quality punching bags to let off steam. Lace up your boxing gloves and really work out with targeted punches and kicks in Combat - and train your motor skills at the same time.

What equipment do I need?

Inner and boxing gloves: You can't do without them - at the beginning we provide you with the boxing gloves and a cleaned and disinfected pair of inner gloves on loan. For further BLAZE courses you can purchase the gloves at our reception.

Myzone Switch: Connect. Save. Share. The Myzone-Switch heart rate monitor accurately records your heart rate and calorie burn throughout your workout for a more dynamic and intense training experience. We provide Myzone-Switch for the BLAZE taster, for other BLAZE courses you can purchase Myzone-Switch from our reception.

What is Myzone?

Myzone is an innovative heart rate based system that works wirelessly and with cloud technology to accurately monitor your physical activity. Simply put the strap on before your workout. It monitors your heart rate, calories burned and exercise time and converts them into Myzone Effort Points (MEPs) - so the focus is on effort rather than fitness, giving you a more accurate view of the effectiveness of your workout.

The belt is connected to an app so you can stream your activity, upload your data and check your results from your smartphone - either with or without trainers.

In the BLAZE classes, participants wear a Myzone belt (which we lend you for your BLAZE taster). Your performance is broadcast on a large screen along with the data of the other participants. This is extremely motivating as you can track your performance level and heart rate throughout the course.
