Reformer Pilates at David Lloyd Meridian Eppendorf
Reformer Pilates involves a narrow bed with a sliding platform, known as a carriage. You can perform very basic to highly advanced movements in a range of positions, with resistance being altered by adding or removing springs.
We also offer Mat Pilates classes which take place in one of our bright and airy exercise studios. All you need is a mat – which we provide – and yourself. There’s occasional use of a resistance band, straps or ball, but that’s down to the instructor and they’ll always be provided. The instructor will guide you through exercises that incorporate upper and lower body strength, as well as core activation.
What is Reformer Pilates?
In our brand-new Reformer Pilates studio, equipped with specialized stretching machines, you’ll work on strengthening and toning your body while also improving your flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance.
Each 45-minute session focuses on core strengthening and the targeted use of your muscles. This leads to better posture, relieves back pain, and helps with injury recovery. It has also been proven to improve mental concentration and reduce stress. Our experienced Pilates instructors guide you through every exercise and movement.
